| Asian Style Granite Check out these granites if you are trying to achieve an Asian inspired design. The dark granite below, for example, would go well if you are trying to achieve a Japanese design, where natural colors and simple lines prevail. The red granite, on the other hand, will help you achieve a Chinese inspired design, where plenty of red, symbolizing luck, is used. |

ASIAN INFLUENCE (Japanese)
Simplicity and balance are the two main concepts in the Japanese style interior. Neutral, natural colors provide a simple background
for furnishings and accessories and minimize a feeling of clutter. Black color that is considered a non-color in the Western style home decorating plays an important role in the Japanese style decorating. Use black in combination with white and light colors to create contrasting finishes. Textures are also important. Use contrasting textures to create balanced look and feel, for example put a rough textured sisal rug on the smooth and shiny hardwood floor or display a lacquered box on top of a rough wooden table. The key features of a Japanese style include stone, bamboo, rice paper, cedar, maple, textiles and other earthy materials.

Chinese style interiors reflect the ancient practice of placement to achieve harmony with the environment. This style favors bold, energizing, yet harmonious, colors. The red color, which has a symbolic meaning of good luck in the Chinese culture, plays an important role in the Chinese style interior. Red is often paired with gold yellow, the color symbolizing joy and happiness. Other key elements of Chinese style include dark wood tones and high-gloss finishes which bring drama and
sophistication to the interior.

Bold-colored yet sophisticated Capaco Bonita granite imported from Brazil will add a dramatic bright accent to a Chinese style kitchen. If you prefer
a bolder texture, consider similarly colored Sierra Chica Red (Brazil).
Polished black and very dark granites will also fit beautifully in the Chinese style room. You may consider deep blue Volga Blue (Ukraine) and sophisticated dark Spetrolith (Finland) with iridescent navy blue and streaks of gold.
